Detroit resistance to Israel’s assault on humanity will not be stifled. There is a vital thread of increasingly-informed, peaceful, credible people who know they are on the side of rightness. They stand for justice, and judgement wherever you might find it.
This thread of Detroit resistance is not naive. They know this is the long hard fight. It did not begin and will probably not end with them. When they assembled yesterday, there was a sense of betrayal that the “uncommitted” voter organization had acquiesced to candidate Harris for a five-minute talking slot at the DNC. Plus, Harris’s consideration of Genocide Josh Shapiro as her VP pick is starting to tell people who she really is. So, it is beyond disappointing.
Nabil, Rene, and Ismail are steadfast members of the Detroit resistance. Among them they have survived the Holocaust and the Nakba, and have people in Beirut, and more. Hence, they are opinionated. Thanks for these voices.
Continued Genocide Heralds World War Three
War is the tendency and ready answer for American government. In fear, we are headed that way again. Or, maybe we are already there as the proxy war controllers. Or, it melds into endless war. Of course, it can always stay regional.
However, speakers said Iran is no Iraq; they are no pushover. The USA will have to intervene if Israel provokes a bigger conflict with Iran. This is because Iran can take Israel out. You can say Israel is committing suicide, or Israel is pulling the USA into World War Three. Considering today’s stock market crackup, an official war might be the establishment’s ready imperial fix!
America needs to recognize it has not won a war since Grenada. But greed and fear are driving over all.

A culturally enriching and family-oriented afternoon of exceptional music and arts has been coordinated by Barbara Barefield. It is all about building more unity, awareness, positive spirit, and bridges.
Heather and Miriam (in white below) read poetry that brought out the peaceful (but firm and determined) spirit of the event. Miriam referenced a previous generation of protestors, particularly Julian Bond. Bond gave her these words: “Never give up if it seems like nobody is responding.”
Detroit Resistance In the Know
Elected Democratic National Committee Delegate Liano Sharon gave an informative talk. He talked about political trends and called out the Israeli ethno-religious state that American politicians are serving. This election, the Democrat establishment is a real threat to American democracy. So, we must make clear our demands. It is not enough to think Harris is better than Biden and Trump.
America Needs to Divorce the State of Israel
Every day, new Israeli atrocities are revealed. Today, it is reported that state and local governments are investing public funds into questionable Israeli bonds. Israel is infesting every aspect of American life. It seems they have the monetary allure and are more determined (and maybe smarter) than most American politicians. However, American citizens should not be subservient to Israel.
Harris has a Jewish husband, and she is giving serious consideration to an extreme right leaning vice-presidential candidate to be her partner on the Democratic ticket. No wonder she is less-than-forthcoming about her stance on Israel.
Of course, Israel routinely covers reality up with its blanket of antisemitism. Antisemitism has lost its meaning under Israel’s self-defeating, purposeful conflation strategy. Jews are good people and most see the Israel state for what it has become.
Consider becoming part of the Detroit resistance. They have been meeting every Sunday at 3PM across from the Zekelman Holocaust Center in Farmington Hills, Michigan.
